DAY 5: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 | Speaking the Same Gospel: Outward on Mission

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Corinthians 1:10 & Matthew 28:18–20

DEVOTION: Paul pleads with us to 'all speak the same thing', meaning we stand in total agreement on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A club exists for member comfort, a clique exists to protect preferences, but the Church exists to glorify God and share the Gospel. At the foot of the cross, all exclusivity dies because we are all sinners saved by grace. When the Gospel is our focus, human pride breaks down and we march outward together as one body.

PRAYER PROMPT: Heavenly Father, unite our church in the truth of the Gospel. Break our hearts for the lost and equip us to go make disciples under Christ's absolute authority. Amen.

ACTION STEP: Share the message of God's grace with someone in your life this week or invite an unchurched neighbor or friend to join you for worship.
