DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21 | HOLDING TIGHT VS. LETTING GO
Scripture Reading: Mark 7:8
Jesus exposed the spiritual exchange of legalism: 'Abandoning the command of God, you hold on to human tradition.' Clinging with a white-knuckled grip to human preferences always causes us to push God's authoritative Word aside. Like a train rolling down the track on residual momentum long after the fire in the boiler has gone out, a church or believer can operate on habit long after spiritual passion has cooled. True renewal requires opening our hands and surrendering our comfort molds.

Prayer Prompt: Lord, give me open hands to surrender any personal preference, seat, or tradition that hinders Your mission in my life or church.


Action Step: Identify one church tradition you tend to defend and consciously lay it down in prayer before God today.
