DAY 5: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23 | RECLAIMING THE POWER OF THE WORD
Scripture Reading: Mark 7:13 & Philippians 3:7–9
Elevating human tradition nullifies the Word of God, stripping it of its living power in our lives. But Jesus did not come to improve ceremonial handwashing; He shed His blood to cleanse our hearts from sin. Like Paul in Philippians 3, we must repent not just of obvious moral sins, but of the “religious sin” of our self-righteous performance and pride. True righteousness is not earned by keeping human checklists but received as a gift through faith in Christ alone.

Prayer Prompt: Lord Jesus, thank You for breaking the mold of self-righteous religion and cleansing my heart. Help me walk in the freedom of Your Word.
