Day 4: Thursday, September 3  —  Head of the Church

“Colossians 1:18 — “And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead...” | Ephesians 1:22”

Devotional Reflection:
The church is not a worldly corporation governed by human opinion or corporate strategy; Jesus Christ alone is the living Head of the Church. Through Him flows all spiritual life, guidance, and authority. At Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Christ must always have first place in our worship, ministries, decisions, and fellowship. When we submit to His Headship, His resurrection power flows freely among us.

Prayer Prompt: Lord Jesus, be the undisputed Head of our congregation at Mt. Pleasant. Protect our church from self-reliance, and lead us by Your Word and Spirit.

Action Prompt: Pray specifically for your pastor, church leaders, and fellow church members today, asking God to keep Christ at the center of every ministry.
