DAY 1: MONDAY, SEPT 7:
THERE IS ALWAYS A NEED FOR WORK

Scripture: Genesis 2:15  •  Nehemiah 2:17–18

On Labor Day, we often avoid labor to celebrate it. Yet, God's original design for work precedes sin. In Genesis 2:15, God placed Adam in Eden to "tend and keep it," establishing labor with joy, dignity, and holy purpose. In Nehemiah's day, the broken walls of Jerusalem presented an undeniable, practical need. Nehemiah called the people to rise up, build, and remove their reproach, and they willingly set their hands to the "good work." Remember, God's kingdom work does not mysteriously get done on its own; He chooses to work through our willing and active hands to make a difference.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the dignity and purpose of work. Give me a willing heart to see needs in Your kingdom and the courage to step up and serve.

ACTION: Identify one "broken wall," whether physical, spiritual, or relational, in your family, church, or community, and take one practical step to address it today.
