DAY 5: FRIDAY, SEPT 11:
LABORING FOR ETERNITY

Scripture: Nehemiah 6:15–16

The wall was completed in just fifty-two days. Despite relentless, fierce opposition, the work succeeded because even their enemies "perceived that this work was done by our God." To build work that withstands the test of time, we must build on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ rather than chasing fleeting cultural novelties. The Hebrew word for "build" means to fortify, secure, or restore using existing materials. We don't strengthen the church with superficial, trendy methods, but by going back to the timeless, solid truths of God's Word. Your daily labor is not in vain; it is your sacred mission field.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, be the firm foundation of all I build. Keep me from chasing worldly novelties, and let my life be anchored in Your unchanging truth.

ACTION: Reflect on your primary occupation (work, school, or home). Write down two ways you can consciously treat your daily tasks as a sacred mission field.
