DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2026 — FROM CONSUMERS TO TRUE WORSHIPERS

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:4 & 1 Corinthians 11:28
When awe is lost in the church, consumerism quickly takes its place. Instead of entering the sanctuary to tremble before the Lord and offer Him our sacrificial praise, we enter as critics evaluating a performance. We critique the music, judge the sermon, and demand that the church cater to our personal preferences. Our awe is replaced by personal entitlement, turning sacred worship into an entertainment venue.

When God's presence filled the temple in Isaiah's vision, the doorposts shook and the room filled with divine smoke—leaving no room for human boasting or self-congratulation. When we realize that church is not about catering to our comfort but encountering the Living God, our hearts shift from entitlement to awe.

PRAYER PROMPT
Lord Jesus, purge my heart of entitlement, judgment, and spiritual consumerism. Forgive me for evaluating worship through the lens of my preferences rather than bringing You a sacrificial heart.

ACTION PROMPT
Write down two specific ways you can prepare your heart before arriving at church this Sunday, focusing entirely on what you can offer to God rather than what you consume.
