DAY 5 | FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2026: SATURATED IN THE WORD
Scripture Reading: Romans 12:2c & Psalm 119:11 (NKJV): “...that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Your mind is like a sponge. It absorbs whatever it is soaking in. If we soak in 50 hours of secular news, outrage, and Hollywood values each week and then spend 60 minutes in church on Sunday and tie a ribbon around our lives, we will remain anxious and spiritually dry. A Sunday morning ribbon is not enough. You need to immerse your mind in the steady stream of God’s Word. Squeeze out the world’s cynicism and let Scripture saturate your soul until your instincts reflect those of Jesus.
Prayer Prompt: Lord God, saturate my thoughts with Your truth. Squeeze out every drop of worldly fear, pride, and discontentment, and fill me with Your perfect peace. Amen.
Action Step: Spend 15 uninterrupted minutes reading Psalm 119 today. Write down one key verse on an index card to keep on your desk or steering wheel.
