Day 4: Thursday, September 17 — The Reset: Remember and Repent
“Revelation 2:5a — “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works...” | Psalm 51:10–12”
Devotional Reflection:
Jesus does not leave us condemned; He provides a direct path to reset. First, remember. Stop and look back to when prayer was sacred, when God's Word was sweet, and when worship wasn't dictated by your mood or preferences. Second, repent. Repentance is not merely an emotional trip to an altar driven by temporary guilt; it is an immediate, decisive break from the sin and busyness that crowd out Christ. It means turning away from building our own platforms and turning back completely to loving Jesus.
Prayer Prompt: Lord, bring to my mind the joy of my early devotion, and give me the courage to make a clean, decisive break from empty distractions.
Action Prompt: Write down one specific spiritual compromise or distraction you will decisively turn away from today.
