Day 4: Thursday, August 6  —  Authority Beyond Proximity

“Luke 7:7 — “But say the word, and my servant will be cured.””

Devotional Reflection:
We often limit God by demanding to see physical proof or feeling an emotional sensation before we believe He is working. The Roman centurion recognized that Jesus’ authority was not bound by distance or physical presence—His jurisdiction extended over sickness, distance, and circumstances with a single word. Jesus’ sovereign authority is not limited by diagnostic reports, financial struggles, or miles between family members.

Prayer Prompt: Lord Jesus, increase my faith. Forgive me for demanding signs or physical feelings before I trust Your promises. I believe Your Word carries absolute power over my situation.

Action Prompt: Identify a burden or loved one far away that you have been worrying about. Verbally pray over them, declaring Jesus’ sovereign authority over their circumstances.
