Due Season Provisions
"The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season." — Psalm 145:15 (NKJV)
Most of us would love it if God gave us a lifetime supply of blessings, answers, and clarity all at once right at the beginning. We want the provision before the test even starts. The Israelites desperately wanted the Messiah before Rome ever took over.
But if He had arrived earlier, the global infrastructure wouldn't have been ready to carry His message to the ends of the earth. God provides precisely when it is needed—not a moment too soon, and not a moment too late.
Think of how God provides food in "due season." A tree doesn't fruit all year round; it goes through seasons of budding, waiting, and maturing. If you are lacking an answer or a provision right now, it isn't because God is empty-handed.
It is simply because it isn’t your due season yet. Trust that He knows your needs intimately, and He is preparing the provision to arrive at the exact millisecond it will do the most good for your soul.
PRAYER PROMPT:
Lord, I confess that I often demand Your provisions on my schedule. Today, I rest in the truth that You know exactly what I need, and You will faithfully provide it in the perfect season.
ACTION PROMPT:
Before you eat your next meal today, pause for one full minute of silent reflection. Use that time to deliberately thank God for His history of daily, faithful provision in your life, acknowledging that He provides right on time.
