Day 1: Monday, August 31  —  Who Has the Steering Wheel?

“Colossians 1:18b — “...that in all things He may have the preeminence.” | Acts 2:36”

Devotional Reflection:
Like a toddler in a car seat turning a plastic toy wheel until the parent turns a different direction, we often treat Jesus like an advisor or passenger while demanding our own way. We love Jesus as a teacher or therapist, but resist Him as Lord. We don't make Jesus Lord, God has already made Him Lord of all! True surrender means giving King Jesus first place (preeminence) over our plans, preferences, and priorities.

Prayer Prompt: Lord Jesus, forgive me for fighting You for the steering wheel of my life. I yield my plans, ego, and desires to Your sovereign direction today.

Action Prompt: Identify one area of your life where you have been insisting on 'my way.' Pray and consciously hand the driver's seat over to Christ.
